Great food, fabulous service. Stopped in and what a great treasure we found. Homemade food and the pie is so wonderful you will have a hard time picking which one to try first.

Smaller portion sizes but HIGH quality food. Love the atmosphere of this small "hole in the wall", "mom & pop" restaurant. My husband goes there practically weekly for breakfast with his co-workers. Favorite breakfast restaurant in town!

Stopped by to eat here on our way through 24 west. We had breakfast and it was ok. This is a cute place decorated really like your grandma's house would be. There are all sort of kitch chotchkies scattered about the place. The fare is typical of your diner greasy-spoon breakfast place. I can't say we were extremely impressed, but we were also not terribly disappointed. This is an ok place to stop for bfast or lunch on your way through Woodland Park. I did like the staff, they were all nice and cordial and were all wearing matching grandma floral apron. I thought that was a nice apropos uniform for a place as this :)

Came in on a Tuesday morning about 930am with my husband. We ordered coffee, cinnamon roll, chicken fried steak and eggs and hashbrowns, waffle with eggs and hashbrowns. So the cinnamon roll had a hint of citrus/sour and I really don't like that, so it looked better than it tasted. I prefer a cinnamon sugar taste. I liked our waitress, she was good about topping off our coffee and serving us. However she didn't ask how my husband wanted his egg so she brought it out a way he doesn't like and I felt a slight attitude from her when he said he wanted it scrambled. My verdict is it was good, but not our fave place based on the food. I felt like it all looked better then it tasted and I prefer Hungry Bear or Black Bear...

If you're going to go on a Sunday, (*ahem*, peak going out to breakfast day) don't gripe about having to wait for a table. It's busy because it is great! My parents first took me there in 1991 and I've gone when I can since then. Not much has changed. Everyone goes out of their way to be friendly and the food is high quality breakfast comfort food.

I feel like I am stepping back in time when I come here! Old-fashioned cafe with booth or table seating. The employees are super friendly. Gluten-free bread is available so you can make any of their sandwiches gluten-free, which is great. Another gluten-free option is hash browns & eggs (breakfast is served all day). Old-fashioned menu items like open-faced turkey sandwich with gravy, rhubarb pie, liver and onions, chicken pot pies that you can't find many places anymore. Free refills on drinks like iced tea. The only negative is it's a bit hard to find something healthy and low calorie on the menu. When I ordered coleslaw instead of french fries with my sandwich for a healthier option, a bag of potato chips was added to the plate. I had to laugh because I might as well have gotten the french fries!

My wife and I needed some (very) late breakfast after hanging out in the cabin and enjoying some late April snow (we hail from Texas) and yelp pointed us in the direction of Grandmothers Kitchen. They close fairly early (for some reason most places in Woodland Park that cater to the breakfast crowd are done at 2:00pm). We happened to get there only a few minutes before closing, the door was still open, so we went in and crossed our fingers. Our waitress asked about our day and told us we made it just in time and seated us with a smile. A pleasant surprise, as we expected to be sneaking in a last call at an inconvenient time for the staff. We both ended up going for an omelette. They tasted good and were large enough to serve for both breakfast and lunch, the hash browns were nice and crispy as well. It was a great local diner experience. Good food, but the service is what made Grandmothers Kitchen a 'go-to' breakfast stop for us. Thanks for letting us add ~20 minutes to your day without making us feel bad about it =) We'll be back, but a little earlier next time.

We visited Grandmother's Kitchen on Sunday, April 4 around noon. There were 5 people in our party and we had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant if you have more that four people in your party as they only have two tables that will seat more than 4. I think they could have tried to pull some tables together or something, but they didn't try to accommodate us. We ended up sitting at separate tables only to have a large table open up right after being seated, but they didn't offer to move us to that table to allow us all to sit together. We also had to wait another 20 minutes to receive our food once we ordered. It seems like they are under staffed. The food was pretty good. One thing that really bothered me is the size of their large Orange juice is very small and it costs around $2.75. The rest of the food is about average price. We will go here again, but not if we have a large party. They don't seem like they strive to be friendly or value their customers much, but like I said, the food is pretty good.

This is a small quaint restaurant with country decor. We ate lunch here and found we got there just in time as they close at 2:00. They offer breakfast open to close but my husband had meatloaf and I had chicken fried steak. The food was very good and the service was phenomenal. The ladies were so friendly that we'd go back just to be able to see them again!

Stopped here for lunch today, with wife & daughter, while shopping in Woodland Park. We had a great lunch...friendly service...quick service...great breakfast burrito, soup (chicken gumbo), eggs Benedict, and tuna sandwich. Outstanding coffee and reasonable prices. What's not to like! We'll definitely return!

I know that when you see four great reviews and one negative review, you typically discount the one negative one. That said, this is simply an objective opinion, and not sour grapes, of our experience today,so take it for what it's worth. This was a Sunday, and we waited 20 minutes to be seated. But by the time we placed our order, it was yet another 20 minutes before our breakfast was brought to the table. The hostess / cashier was a bit busy, distracted and somewhat snippy, unless of course you were a local patron. The waitress, Sandy, was scattered, and not friendly at all. Never apologized for our wait, never returned to the table to ask if our food tasted o.k.,and overall the food was just o.k. If you're willing to wait for a long time, and don't care about exceptional customer service or mediocre food, then this would be an o.k. place for you. We certainly will not be going back. It was a disappointment.

We stopped by on a recommendation and it was a great breakfast place. We all ordered omletes, which were not only quickly served but delicous.

We go to grandmothers once a week and the service is wonderful and so is the food I totally recommend grandmothers best breakfast in Woodland Park

We eat breakfast here every time we're in town. Love the homemade cooking! Great for breakfast. Haven't tried lunch here. The locals seem to frequent this place.

Great Breakfast. The BEST Cinnamon Rolls. Everything is fresh and tastes home made. The wait staff is very friendly and you feel like you are eating at home when you are here. Get there early, or you will be waiting. We went on a Sunday, around 8 am and there was no wait, but we got the last table. By the time we left at 9, there were more than 10 people waiting for a table. The menu does not have a huge selection, but you can bet that everything on that menu tastes great. Going with a group larger than 4 would be time consuming.

Great home cookin food and a decent price. Not huge portions but who needs an 8 egg omellette? Super friendly staff will make you leave smiling. I'd come here weekly if I lived nearby.

I give a lot of stars to restaurants that have a clear "mission" and execute it well. It might be pizza or white tablecloths and candles. I only had breakfast at Grandmothers Kitchen on my way up the mountain for a day-long hike. Grandmother's serves a simple, well-cooked breakfast in a friendly manner. Eggs, bacon, wide choice of breads and toasts, choice of potatoes. Not complicated but clearly cooked with care and served with care too. Hope to get back up the hill soon! As I write this the road is closed and the wildfire is burning.

I have been going to Grandmother's for about eight years - usually about three times a year on my way out of Colorado Springs, heading west and highway 24. The food is decent enough, your standard American breakfast fare - nothing fancy here. Eggs are cooked to ordered. The service has always been friendly, though expect some long waits on busy summer weekend mornings. By no means a "destination" place, but a safe choice for a good, yet predictable breakfast when traveling through Woodland Park.

Was lucky enough to spend some time in Woodland Park this weekend and found myself out for breakfast Sunday morning. Grandmother's is the perfect location for a great morning meal. Locally owned and run by one of the friendliest staffs these folks put on a great breakfast. I went with an omelet which came with a side of potatoes of my choice and toast with jelly. Service was speedy and the food cooked perfectly. It's hard to find non greasy hash browns anywhere, these guys make them! They also know just how to cook an over medium egg which is also nearly impossible to find! Be sure to check their specials board as they do lots of great choices for a great price. Sunday's was a cinnamon roll French toast for $5.75 that was divine.

Grandmother's Kitchen is your standard breakfast spot that delivers a simple menu, great, friendly service and a laid back atmosphere. We ate here two days in a row and were completely satisfied, although thought the food across the street at the Hungry Bear was a notch better. Grandmother's reminded us of IHOP or Denny's quality, but has much better service and a bit less grease. There are no extravagant items here, rather go-to breakfast items that we've all had time and time again. We tried just about everything on the menu between the six of us and agree there's nothing exotic or exciting on the menu. Meanwhile, regardless of what you order you'll be satisfied and have nothing to complain about. It's simplicity done well, namely the kind of place you order pancakes, french toast, bacon and eggs or an omelet with meat. When strolling through Woodland Park, come here for a simple, easy, cheap menu and good service for breakfast. If you want something you'll be eager to take photos of and more grand breakfast entrees, walk across the street to Hungry Bear. Either way, you'll be content.

Friendly service with fairly standard menu. Portion sizes were not too big and prices are good. Food is average though noticed they will customize meals if you ask so noticed couple of people healthy up their breakfast sandwiches which is nice option. Best of all is their homemade muffins. Tried the coconut and pineapple and it was warm, tender and amazing. Could use a few of those too go!!!
